We buy, invest in, and grow businesses by removing what holds them back.

LT Capital Holding partners with owners of proven businesses. We find the bottlenecks that cap growth, fix them alongside the people who built the company, and hold for the long term.

Our approach

Three ways to partner. One goal: a stronger business.

There is no fund clock forcing a sale. We structure each partnership around what the owner and the business actually need.

01

Acquire

We buy majority or full ownership from owners ready to step back or retire, and keep the team, name and customers that made the business work.

02

Invest

For owners who want to stay involved, we take a minority stake or form a joint venture, so we share in the upside and our incentives line up with yours.

03

Operate

We work inside the business: building the systems, finance function and management depth that let it grow without everything running through one person.

Bottlenecks we remove

Most good businesses don't need a new strategy. They need the constraint taken off.

Owner dependence

Every decision, customer and problem runs through the owner. We build a team and process that let the business run without them.

Finance and reporting

Books that close late and numbers nobody trusts. We put in monthly closes, cash forecasting and job or unit-level margins.

Pricing and sales

Prices set years ago and growth that depends on word of mouth. We tighten pricing and build a repeatable way to win work.

Hiring and management

Not enough of the right people, and no layer between the crew and the owner. We recruit, train and promote leaders from within.

Systems and tools

Scheduling on whiteboards and customer data in someone's head. We put in simple software that fits how the team already works.

Access to capital

Growth held back by cash for equipment, locations or add-on acquisitions. We fund the investments that pay back.

How it works

A straightforward process

  1. 1

    Conversation

A confidential call to understand the business, your goals and what you want your role to be.

  2. 2

    Diagnosis

We dig into the numbers and operations to find the one or two constraints that matter most.

  3. 3

    Structure

Acquisition, minority investment or equity partnership: a deal built so both sides win when the business grows.

  4. 4

    Build

We work the plan with your team, measure progress monthly and keep investing as it pays off.

Owner FAQ

Questions owners ask us first

Don't see yours? Ask us directly. There is no wrong question this early.

What happens to my employees?

They stay. The people who built the business are a big part of why we want to own it. As the company grows and expands, your team gets more room to advance and take on bigger roles.

Do I have to leave the business?

Usually not, unless you want to. If you'd like to step back, we'll have that conversation discreetly and plan the transition around you.

How do you decide what my business is worth?

Once your financials are verified, we complete an extensive business valuation. It starts with cash flow and looks at how consistent it is, how concentrated your customers are, and how much the business depends on you day to day. We walk you through the math openly so there are no surprises.

How are deals financed?

We invest our own capital, not money from outside investors, and pair it with sweat equity: hands-on operating knowledge that grows the business after we partner. We explain every piece of the deal and how it affects what you receive and when.

How long does it take?

It can be as short as 90 days, or longer depending on your goals and the complexity of the business and its operations. We give you a clear timeline up front.

Will my employees or customers find out?

Discretion comes first. We sign an NDA before you share any information. Telling your employees and customers matters, but only at the right time, and not before then.

Are you a private equity fund?

No. LT Capital Holding is led by James Lovejoy, a corporate professional and entrepreneur investing with a 40 to 50 year time horizon. The goal is to build strong, durable, sustainable businesses that produce excess cash flow, and to own them for decades.

What if I'm not ready to sell?

Not a problem at all. We also make minority investments and do fee-based consulting work, so we can help you grow now and keep your options open later.
